Job Description

East Delta University (EDU) is inviting applications from dedicated and technically skilled individuals for the position of Lab Assistant: Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE). This position involves assisting in the preparation, maintenance, and operation of laboratory equipment, supporting faculty and students during lab sessions, and ensuring the smooth functioning of all lab-related activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient learning environment.

Educational Requirements

• Diploma/higher degree in relevant discipline with CGPA/GPA not less than 3.00 in each examination.

Experience Requirements

• At least 1 year experience is preferable in the relevant field.

Job Responsibility

• Maintaining instrumentation lab equipment in good and functional conditions

• Calibrating the measurement and instrumentation of equipment on a regular basis to ensure their accuracy

• Instructing the students in Energy Conversion Lab, Power System and Protection Lab, Measurement and Instrument Lab etc.

• Assisting the faculty members in the smooth functioning of the laboratories.

• Assisting students with project-related activities.

• Listing out the laboratory requirements date-wise and inform it to the Department Chairman regularly.

• Preparing a semester-wise laboratory and equipment-related report and submitting it to the Department Coordinator.

• Preserving the soft copy and hard copy of individual course-wise Laboratory Experiment Sheets.

• Initiating purchase requisition (PR) for the laboratory requirement.

• Be careful and conscious about the student activities/ movement during the class period and report it to the Department Chairman if there is any incident.

• Reporting Matters, like maintenance/ repairing, theft, damage etc., of the laboratory to the Department Coordinator immediately.

• Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the University Management.
